The Product Manager for SmartInsure is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and commercial success of a robust medical insurance back-office management system across the Group. SmartInsure covers the entire insurance lifecycle including underwriting, claims, member and provider management, product setup, reinsurance, finance, and case management.You will play a pivotal role in defining product strategy, ensuring competitive positioning, and driving adoption across healthcare and insurance organizations. This includes full lifecycle management—from ideation and go-to-market, to resource and implementation planning, client delivery, and revenue realization.

Product Strategy & Revenue Ownership

  • Drive engagement with all stakeholders to define the SmartInsure product vision and strategic direction
  • Own the product vision, roadmap and realization of the strategic goals for the product.
  • Drive commercial outcomes through pricing strategy, value proposition alignment, and identifying new revenue streams.
  • Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to align product features to market demand and revenue goals.

Product Development & Road Mapping

  • Drive the vision, strategy, and continuous evolution of a scalable product roadmap that aligns with customer needs, regulatory standards, and market opportunities.
  • Advise on prioritization of product features and enhancements based on ROI, client impact, market trends, and technical feasibility
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager during sprint retrospectives to review progress, capture feedback, and align backlog priorities, ensuring product goals are continuously refined and met.

Customer Delivery & Implementation Support

  • Collaborate with the implementation and operations teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and solution delivery.
  • Participate in requirement analysis, solution customization, and support project planning including timelines, risks, and resource needs.
  • Ensure product quality and customer satisfaction through structured testing, training, and change management plans.

Resource & Operational Planning

  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure resource planning aligns with product roadmap priorities.
  • Support cross-functional alignment across technical, operational, and client-facing teams to optimize delivery capacity and efficiency.

Market Competitiveness & Innovation

  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to ensure SmartInsure stays ahead in features, user experience, compliance, and tech adoption (AI, STP, analytics).
  • Explore and test new features or modules to keep the product relevant and future ready.

Bid, Proposal, & Demo Support

  • Play a lead role in supporting pre-sales activities including proposals, RFPs, solution design, and client presentations.
  • Develop compelling product collateral and deliver product demonstrations to prospective clients and strategic partners.
  • Customize product pitches and proposals in alignment with client-specific needs, emphasizing SmartInsure’s differentiators.

Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance domain experts, reinsurance partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product queries, roadmap updates, and cross-functional coordination.

Performance Monitoring & Data Analytics

Monitor product KPIs including adoption, usage, claim processing times, revenue contribution, and user satisfaction.
Utilize data and feedback loops to inform product improvement and prioritize enhancements.

Academic & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in insurance, Business, IT, or related field, Insurance certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in healthcare, InsurTech, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of medical insurance workflows including underwriting, claims, & reinsurance.
  • Proven ability to deliver commercially successful software products and drive growth.
  • Solid experience in Agile methodologies and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry operations and workflows with Strong knowledge of insurance compliance standards
