Job Purpose

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services required to support company operations. The role ensures procurement activities deliver optimal value in terms of cost, quality, and service while maintaining full compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.

The position supports operational continuity, cost management, and achievement of overall business objectives.

1. Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers that meet company quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, market trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price competitiveness, service levels, and delivery reliability.

2. Negotiation and Contract Management

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements to achieve best value for the organization.
  • Ensure all supplier agreements comply with legal, regulatory, and company procurement requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier contracts and supporting documentation.

3. Purchase Order Management

  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor order progress and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to confirm specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.

4. Inventory Control

  • Monitor inventory levels in collaboration with Warehouse and Planning teams.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives to minimize excess stock and reduce holding costs.
  • Participate in periodic stock counts and variance investigations.

  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
