About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Procurement Manager to join our growing pharmacy team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate must have prior procurement experience within a pharmacy or pharmaceutical setting and a strong understanding of sourcing medicines, healthcare products, supplements, and dermo-cosmetic brands.
This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive professional who can manage supplier relationships, optimize costs, ensure stock availability, and maintain compliance with pharmacy procurement standards.

Key responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end procurement of pharmaceutical, skincare, and retail healthcare products
- Source from approved suppliers and negotiate the best pricing, terms, and lead times
- Ensure consistent stock availability across multiple branches
- Monitor stock levels, fast/slow movers, and reorder cycles
- Coordinate with branch managers and inventory teams on stock planning and replenishment
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with Pharmacy & Poisons Board regulations and internal procurement policies
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality and authenticity
- Manage import orders, local sourcing, and branch stock transfers where necessary
- Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management (Mandatory)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in procurement within a pharmacy, hospital, or pharmaceutical environment
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical suppliers, import processes, and inventory planning
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and inventory/ERP systems (experience in retail pharmacy systems is an added advantage)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
