Procurement Manager Job Nairobi Central Hardware
Procurement Jobs, Nairobi Central Hardware Jobs. Responsible for overseeing procurement activities, sourcing suppliers, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices. Requires a degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nairobi
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management:
- Develop & implement procurement strategies & policies.
- Manage the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery
- Evaluate & select suppliers based on price, quality, & reliability
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Establish & maintain relationships with key suppliers
- Negotiate contracts, terms, & conditions with suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance & resolve any issues or disputes
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels & manage stock replenishment
- Coordinate with warehouse & logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
Cost Management:
- Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Implement cost control measures without compromising quality
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate & up-to-date procurement records & documentation
- Prepare reports on procurement activities & performance metrics
- Tabulate price changes
Risk Management:
- Monitor market price changes & follow suppliers for shortages to stock outs
- Monitor seasonal items & sources with potential suppliers
- Identify & mitigate procurement-related risks
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand & their procurement needs
- Provide guidance & support on procurement best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the hardware industry.
- Strong negotiation & communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software & Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in using Tally. ERP Experience will be an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of local procurement regulations.
