Job Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide and oversee the effective & efficient surgical care in Kijabe Hospital and satellite clinics
- To lead the surgical team in preparation and performance of the operation as well as in caring for the patient in the immediate postoperative period
- To supervise and mentor junior staff and advise on preoperative, surgical and postoperative management
- Manage, plan and schedule plastic surgery procedures for the week and document while ensuring copies of the surgery list are shared with the administration
- Participate in quality improvement measures on assigned clinical areas, including audit & research as appropriate
- To perform diagnostic & therapeutic procedures pertinent to the care of these patients
- To work with the medical staff to provide for the health care needs of all patients in the relevant outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, casualty, and theatre
- Responsible for obtaining informed consent

Qualifications and skills
- Masters degree in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery
- Registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
- Valid private practicing license
