Requirements for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan Citizen;
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning or Town Planning from a recognized institution;
- Be a graduate member of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter); and
- Have a Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertaking feasibility studies on physical, social, economic and environmental characteristics;
- Implementing physical plans for national, regional, urban areas and cities;
- Processing development applications; and
- Maintaining physical planning records.

Interested and qualified candidates are requested to make their applications ONLINE through the Kitui County Government website: www.kitui.go.ke
Candidates should complete one KCPSB 2 Employment form. The completed KCPSB 2 Employment form, together with certified copies of applicant’s National Identity Card, professional certificates, academic certificates and transcripts, should be submitted to the Kitui County Public Service Board jobs portal on or before Wednesday 4th February, 2026.

- The KCPSB 2 Employment form is available in the County Government website.
- Applicants should provide all the details requested for in the advertisement. It is an offense to include incorrect information in the application. Details not obtained by closure of the advertisement will not be considered.
- Only short listed and successful candidates will be contacted.
- Short listed candidates shall be required to produce originals of their national identity card, academic certificates and transcripts.
