Physical Planner II Job KeNHA

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for implementing all matters concerning physical and land use planning for internal projects/processes and also those being undertaken at the local (National & County Government) and Regional level, in relation to the highway infrastructure network management.

Job Description

  • Collecting and analyzing land use data for preparing road development spatial plans;
  • Collecting, collating and analyzing urban and regional physical planning data;
  • Drawing/digitizing different types of physical development plans;
  • Designing. symbolizing. layout preparation. printing/plotting and plan finishing;
  • Conducting site inspections;
  • Supporting in preparing land use plans for road development projects; and
  • Collecting physical and land use data for feasibility studies on physical. social. economic and environmental characteristics;

Job Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Urban and Regional Planning. Town Planning. Spatial Planning or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Graduate membership of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Physical Planners Chapter & Town Planners Chapter);
  • A letter of good standing with Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Physical Planners Chapter & Town Planners Chapter); and
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
