the entire school, especially in view of the Council of International Schools’ standards. We are
seeking a highly experienced and self-driven individual with excellent credentials. Physical Education and Sports Teacher at Rusinga Schools
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and challenging Physical Education lessons across various key stages.
- Lead and manage sports programmes, teams, and extracurricular activities.
- Prepare and present students effectively for key assessment points in KS4 and KS5, specifically within the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) PE and BTEC PE curricula.
- Contribute to the overall development of the school’s sports department and promote a culture of health and fitness.
- Mentor and inspire students to achieve their full potential in sports and academic PE.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of overall teaching experience in Physical Education in an international curriculum environment.
- Registered by the Teachers Service Commission
- At least 3 years of proven leadership experience within a sports department or similar educational setting.
- Essential experience in teaching academic CIE PE and BTEC PE.
- Mandatory experience in successfully presenting students at key assessment points in KS4 and KS5.
- Demonstrable understanding of curriculum development and assessment frameworks for PE.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in developing and leading a whole school PE and Sports curriculum and its delivery and implementation for students across the age range of 3‐18 years, along with outstanding extracurricular provision.
