Paediatric Nursing Job Zetech University

Medical Jobs, Zetech University Jobs. Responsible for supporting paediatric nursing education, teaching students, supervising practical sessions, and providing guidance on child healthcare practices. Requires a relevant qualification in Nursing or Paediatric Nursing and professional registration. The position is based in Ruiru and requires on-site work.

 Key Responsibilities

• To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
• Deliver high-quality lectures and practicals.
• Oversee clinical practice, providing students with real-world learning experiences and guidelines in hospitals or clinical settings.
• Review course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
• Carry out research and write research grant proposals.
• Seek and participate in consultancies.
• Present research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
• Dissemination of research outputs.
• Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
• Ensure all academic activities align with the standards of the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor or as listed in the detailed Job description

Qualification and experience

• Minimum of Master of Science in Nursing (Paediatrics) from an accredited university. 
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing(Paediatrics) or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from a recognised/ accredited university.
• At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience 
• A valid practising licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya – NCK. 
• Demonstrate potential for university teaching and research.
