The Operational Finance Manager will report to the Finance Director and manage the standard Operational Finance activities for the market. This role will build a successful team, manage process risk, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple processes.

  • Review and implement process controls to ensure Operational Finance deliverables are achieved accurately and timely.
  • Maintains and reviews documentation ensuring compliance with policies and audit requirements
  • Ensures clear governance is in place to manage changes to Master Data and its impact across multiple systems and processes including definitions and mapping rules
  • Develops and delivers on key process performance indicators
  • Effectively manages the team and its deliverables focusing on utilization, effectiveness, cross-training, and engagement
  • Drives delivery of continuous process improvement initiatives and implements best practices to achieve operational efficiencies
  • Engages closely with Commercial Finance and Financial Control teams, as well as other internal and external stakeholders to resolve key process issues
  • Effectively manages risk and escalations where process deficiencies are identified

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on operational finance.
  • Experience in managing and implementing process controls, compliance, and performance metrics.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing deliverables effectively.

Industry Experience (preferred):

  • Experience in shared services environments or multinational corporations (MNCs).
  • Exposure to FMCG, advertising/media, or technology-driven industries is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of financial processes (e.g., accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with data governance and Master Data Management (MDM) practices.

Process Efficiency and Accuracy

  • Operational deliverables on time: 95%-100%.
  • Accuracy of financial deliverables: 90%-100%.
  • Issue resolution TAT: ≤ 2 days.

Compliance and Audit Readiness

  • Compliance with audit requirements: ≥ 90%.

Data Governance

  • Timeliness of Master Data updates: 100%.
  • Error rate in Master Data changes: ≤ 2%.

Team Management and Utilization

  • Team utilization rate: ≥ 85%.
  • Cross-trained team members: 90%-100%.
  • Engagement score: ≥ benchmark.
  • Attrition rate: ≤ 5%-10%.

Continuous Improvement

  • Process improvement initiatives: ≥ 2-3 per quarter.
  • Cycle time improvement: ≥ X% annually.
  • Cost savings: $X/year.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Stakeholder satisfaction: ≥ X%.
  • Issues resolved on time: ≥ 95%.
  • Stakeholder meetings: Monthly/Quarterly.

Risk Management

  • Risk assessments: Quarterly.
  • Escalation resolution: ≥ 90%.
  • Recurring deficiencies: ≤ 1/quarter.
