Minimum Requirements
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Diploma in Mortuary Science
- KCSE D (Plain)
- Complete a period of apprenticeship, and pass a licensing exam
- Be a member of a registered funeral professional association
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong English and Swahili language skills
- Training in embalming and grief counseling
- Proficiency in computer skills
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed procedures
- Recording bodies received
- Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration
- Scrubbing and assisting in post-mortems
- Counselling the relatives
- Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures
