Medical Engineering Technologist I – Locum – Job Nairobi City CPSB Nairobi, Kenya
Job Requirement
Relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Medical Engineering, Control and Instrumentation, Industrial Technology (Medical Engineering option), Clinical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Registered with a relevant professional body; and
- Proficiency in computer application;
Key Responsibilities
- Installing, maintenance and repair of high technology medical equipment/plant and furniture; decommissioning of medical equipment and plants; supervising
- Medical Engineering works in a health facility;
- Analysing information for research; verifying medical equipment to ascertain quality and safety;
- Testing and calibrating medical equipment;
- Preparing Planned Preventive Maintenance schedule (PPMs);
- Maintaining information on medical engineering services for input into the Health information management system;
- Training users on use and maintenance of medical equipment; and
- Guiding and counselling of staff.
