Job Description: Media Officer – RCCG – Solution Centre Parish.
Direct Supervisor: Administrator.
Position Overview.
The purpose of the Media Coordinator position is to help set up operational structures for media for higher and effective productivity, build capacity for the media team through conducting trainings on every aspect of media, create, edit and distribute a variety of video and photography content for the church including but not limited to: outreach and evangelism content, promotional and announcement videos, sermon related programming and special events video and photography support.
As a faith-based organization and place of Christian worship, our beliefs are foundational to everything we do. The post-holder will be expected to share these beliefs, join in the spiritual life of the church and work actively to support our ministry and vision
This position requires an exceptional degree of professionalism and the ability to work in an ever – changing environment, where multi-tasking, sound decision making, self-motivation and discretion are essential. Equally the post-holder will need confidence and proven organizational, financial, communication and interpersonal skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise a team in day to day media management while also leading the process of strategic media planning / execution and serving as a resource for team.
Help identify and raise media leadership.
Graphic Design.
- Design & Order Church Promotional Items.
- Design Graphics for Events & Sermon Series.
Video Production.
- Film and Edit Announcement/Promo Videos.
- Providing excellent videos for all television broadcasts, audios for radio social media postings and all other digital promos.
- Film and Edit Sermon Videos.
- Create Sermon Bumper Videos.
- Edit and Post Video & Audio of Weekly Services Online.
Photography
- Maintain online photo database
Social Media
- Craft thoughtful & engaging posts to Church Facebook & Twitter pages
- Assist the ministry build more fellowship on social media platforms
- Utilize photos and videos convey information & engage followers
- Create effective social media advertisements
- Presentation Software & Troubleshooting
- Create presentation content in Pro Presenter for Worship Services & Train volunteers on Pro Presenter software
- Troubleshoot any media error or display issues on all services.
Equipment’s.
- Recommend the best equipment for most productive output and train the staff on equipment handling and maintenance
Required Skills:
- Enthusiastic willingness to serve Christ and His church.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Maturity of Christian character and gifts of discernment
- Video production. We use Adobe premiere pro.
- Troubleshoot computer (Windows) and other technological equipment.
- Graphic design. (Good grasp of color, composition, knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
- High level of administration prowess.
- Exceptional teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to deliver against aggressive schedule pressures.
- Work well under high stress.
- Understanding the importance and use of branding
- Familiarity with Social Media best practices (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Moderate level of computer skills.
- Familiarity with programs and apps such as: Excel/Numbers, Word/Pages, PowerPoint/Keynote. Photo editing
- Some familiarity with, Adobe Creative Suite and ProPresenter would be beneficial.
- Understanding of Social Media best practices (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.)
- Works well in a collaborative environment, including both staff members and volunteers.
