Mechatronics Technician Job Githunguri Dairy Farmers
Reporting to: Engineering Supervisor
Looking for an engineering job in Kenya? Githunguri Dairy Farmers is recruiting a Mechatronics Technician position. The job is based in Githunguri. Diploma in Mechatronics, 2+ years’ technical experience in a busy food manufacturing setup, PLC knowledge required.

Job Purpose
Perform maintenance and repair of machines and equipment; electrical, electronic and mechanical related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspect of maintenance (Preventive, Corrective, emergency and predictive) to all electromechanical systems.
- Install equipment’s and configure software/hardware for all instruments, drives, controls, PLC’s and other computerized systems as per Schematics and installation manuals.
- Accurately diagnose equipment problems using proven troubleshooting methodologies, implement appropriate solutions and affirm continued effectiveness of repairs and maintenance.
- Run diagnostic tests on malfunctioning equipment to determine whether problem is software, hardware, or operator/ process related.
- Custody of backup software of PLC run machines and equipment
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechatronics Option or its equivalent from recognized college
- KCSE certificate – C plain
- Practical technical experience in a busy food manufacturing set up for at least two years. Experience in the dairy industry will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controller ( PLC)
