ITEN TAMBACH WATER AND SEWERAGE COMPANY (ITWASCO) is a licensed Water Service Provider mandated to supply water and sanitation services within Iten Municipality and its environs. The company operates under the regulatory oversight of the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB), guided by the Water Act 2016 and WASREB’s Corporate Governance Guidelines.
Role Summary
The Managing Director (MD) will provide strategic leadership, ensure efficient operations, compliance with regulatory requirements, and deliver quality water and sanitation services to consumers. The MD reports to the Board of Directors and is accountable for the overall performance of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for ITWASCO.
- Ensure compliance with WASREB’s corporate governance and regulatory standards.
- Oversee financial management, operational efficiency, and customer service delivery.
- Develop and implement policies, business plans, and performance targets.
- Foster stakeholder engagement, including shareholders, consumers, and regulators.
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in company operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Environment or related field.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
- At least 7 years of experience, with 3 years in senior management.
- Proven track record in corporate governance, financial management, and strategic leadership.
- Strong knowledge of the water and sanitation sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
