Role Purpose

The Manager – IT Network will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability. The role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and collaboration with key stakeholders to align IT network functions with organizational goals.

Main Responsibilities

Strategy:

• Develop and implement a long-term strategy for scalable network infrastructure.
• Align network infrastructure plans with the company’s business objectives.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance performance and security.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define IT networking budgets and priorities.
• Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Drive innovation through the adoption of sustainable and energy-efficient networking solutions.
• Establish and track performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement in network operations.

Operational:

• Monitor and maintain optimal network performance and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly.
• Configure and manage network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Conduct regular network audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations and policies.
• Oversee network upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal IT teams to enhance overall system functionality.

Corporate Governance:

• Ensure compliance with IT security and data protection regulations.
• Maintain adherence to governance frameworks and industry standards.
• Prepare reports on network performance and compliance for review by senior management.
• Oversee audits and implement recommendations to mitigate risks.
• Promote ethical and transparent decision-making processes in network management.

Leadership and Culture:

• Build and lead a high-performing IT team.
• Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop team members through regular training and feedback.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the IT department and across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
• Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Relevant Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in IT network management.
• Proven expertise in managing complex network infrastructure.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining network security measures.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware, cloud networking, and virtualization technologies.
