Duties and responsibilities will entail: –

  • Providing technical leadership teams in the department to enable them to develop, implement and evaluate strategic management plans and budgets aimed at improving performance and meeting set targets
  • Coordinating departmental planning, budgeting and procurement plans
  • Coordinating implementation of the Company’s performance framework on Community Relations management
  • Monitoring and evaluating implementation of Community management strategies and programs
  • Overseeing stakeholder management, handling Community queries and relaying community issues to top management for redress
  • Facilitating capacity building of staff within the department

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • A minimum of twelve (12) years of work experience four (4) of which must have been in a managerial role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Public Relations, Community Development, Journalism and Mass Communication, Social Sciences, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Public Relations, Community Development, Journalism and Mass Communication, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
  • Professional certification in a relevant field
  • Membership of PRSK, MSK any relevant professional body/institute
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Fulfilled the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010
