The overall purpose of this Job is to analyze and manage the costs associated with a company’s operations. This involves developing cost control strategies, preparing detailed cost reports, and providing insights to support financial decision-making.

  • Prepare costing reports for shipments by analyzing expenses related to labor, packing materials, transport, and freight, ensuring accurate cost allocation for financial planning;
  • Produce cost accounting reports by collecting, analyzing, and documenting operational costs to provide insights into cost efficiency and profitability;
  • Support the finance department in managing and analyzing operational costs by tracking expenses and providing reports that help optimize cost control and resource allocation;
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for each project by evaluating expected costs against potential revenue or savings, ensuring financial viability before project implementation;
  • Support in accurate reporting of all direct and indirect costs associated with operations by maintaining detailed records and verifying cost allocations to enhance financial transparency;
  • Monitor and track inventory costs by collaborating with procurement to ensure cost control measures align with budget forecasts and prevent unnecessary expenses;
  • Handle routine administrative tasks such as responding to financial queries, liaising with suppliers on payments, and assisting in the preparation of financial documents to support the overall efficiency of the Finance Department;
  • Update freight invoices, including airplane receipts, and ensure they are recorded correctly in the financial system;
  • Participate in the annual audit process by compiling necessary financial documentation, assisting auditors with queries, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations to support a transparent audit; and
  • Any other responsibilities assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Strategy or any other business related fields from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of CPA Section II
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role.
  • At least one (1) year at a supervisory level
  • Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems (QuickBooks).
  • Strong skills in budget creation, analysis, and monitoring.
  • Ability to manage statutory returns and tax payments.
