Job Summary:

We are seeking a Macroeconomic Modelling and Forecasting Consultant Trainer to deliver advanced training in economic modelling, scenario analysis, and forecasting techniques for policy and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update training materials on macroeconomic models (e.g., DSGE, VAR), forecasting methods, and scenario planning.
  • Facilitate interactive workshops and seminars for economists, analysts, and policymakers.
  • Provide hands-on exercises in model building, calibration, and interpretation.
  • Guide participants in applying models to real-world policy and economic challenges.
  • Stay current with global modelling best practices and integrate them into training.
  • Assess and enhance training effectiveness based on participant outcomes.
  • Support organizations in strengthening their modelling and forecasting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in macroeconomic modelling and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience in training or professional development.
  • Advanced skills in econometric and statistical software (e.g., EViews, R, Matlab).
  • In-depth knowledge of Kenya’s macroeconomic environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
