Main duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and managing fleet budget, identifying inefficiencies and implementing strategies to improve logistics processes, reducing costs and enhancing service delivery.
- Responsible for leading, coaching, mentoring and training logistics staff, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring adherence to Company policies.
- Responsible for scheduling and overseeing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure fleets are in optimal condition.
- Ensuring the fleet complies with all relevant regulations, including registration, licensing and safety standards.
- Responsible for monitoring and managing delivery timelines to ensure products are transported within scheduled windows, proactively identifying and resolving delays to maintain service quality.
- Tracking logistics metrics and generating performance reports to inform strategic decisions and operational adjustments.
- Managing relationships with vendors, including fleet maintenance providers, parts suppliers and fuel company.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration with a logistics focus.
- 4–6 years of proven work experience in Logistics or Supply Chain in a manufacturing or similar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of how fleet management principles and best practices. FMCG.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Leadership and team management by working well with the team and ability to influence other members positively.
- Ownership & accountability by taking work seriously and as expected without being micromanaged.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Acts in line with Danco core values and leadership principles.
