Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking to hire a skilled Litigation Lawyer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation expertise, excellent client-handling skills, and exposure to commercial law.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in litigation matters and general commercial law practice.
- Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and provide comprehensive litigation support.
- Take client briefs, offer sound legal advice, and ensure consistent client support throughout the case lifecycle.
- Manage case files, timelines, and evidence to ensure efficiency in case preparation and delivery.
- Draft pleadings, contracts, submissions, affidavits, and other key legal documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on statutes, case law, and precedents to support litigation strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes where applicable.
Requirements
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
- Strong legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- High integrity, professionalism, and ability to work under pressure.
