Library Interns Job TEAU Nairobi, Kenya
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Library & Information Science, Information Studies.
- Basic knowledge of cataloguing, classification, & information organization systems
- Familiarity with library management software (eg, KOHA) is an added advantage
- Good communication & organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently & as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in cataloguing & classification organizing library resources
- Support digitization & archiving of documents/publications
- Help manage journal records, including ISSN documentation & issue tracking
- Assist with reader/user services & reference support
- Support data entry & record-keeping for library holdings
- Participate in general administrative tasks within the department
