Description
Reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, the Junior Cloud Engineer role involves assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based solutions using industry best practices. This position includes collaborating with team members to deploy, configure, and manage cloud services and resources, as well as monitoring and optimizing the performance, availability, and security of cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based solutions using industry best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to deploy, configure, and manage cloud services and resources.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and security of cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud services, Linux systems, and programming code.
- Work on automation and scripting tasks to streamline cloud operations and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in cloud computing, Linux, and programming to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in cloud computing or systems administration and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
- Experienced with Linux system monitoring and analysis (disk management, memory management, permissions etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to have
- Familiarity in Python and shell scripting
- Experience building docker images and troubleshooting container related issues
