Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness or Agricultural Resource Management from a university recognized in Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities
This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:-
- Collating and compiling data for irrigation planning;
- Organizing farmers meetings for irrigation participatory development;
- Setting up of demonstration plots; and
- Implementing irrigation action plans
