About the Role

We are a consulting firm seeking an experienced Legal Consultant to join our advisory team on a part-time basis. The role will focus on providing practical, business-oriented legal advisory to clients across investment transactions, deal structuring, due diligence, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction & Investment Advisory

• Provide legal input on structuring investment deals across funds, equities, and other financial instruments
• Advise clients on joint ventures, capital raising, and strategic partnerships

Legal Due Diligence

• Lead and support legal due diligence processes for investment and transaction engagements
• Identify key legal and regulatory risks and provide clear, actionable recommendations

Legal Documentation

• Draft, review, and negotiate key transaction documents including term sheets, shareholder agreements, and investment agreements
• Support deal execution through to close

Corporate Governance & Compliance

• Advise clients on corporate governance frameworks and best practices
• Support development of governance structures for companies and investment vehicles
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• LLB; Advocate of the High Court (or equivalent qualification)
• 5+ years’ experience in corporate, investment, or commercial law
• Strong experience in transaction advisory and legal due diligence
• Experience working in or with consulting firms, investors, or SMEs is an advantage

• Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice
• Strong client engagement and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
