Investigator – Claims at Definite Assurance

Investigator – Claims role at Definite Assurance, conducting claims investigations and fraud detection. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Criminology, or related field with a Diploma in Insurance (AIIK) and 3+ years’ experience in claims investigations or fraud investigation. Full-time, on-site role.

Overall Purpose of the Role

To conduct thorough and objective claims investigations to detect and prevent fraud, establish facts and circumstances surrounding claims, support effective claims management and decision-making, and ensure compliance with insurance policies, regulatory requirements, and established investigation procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Criminology, Law, or a related field.
• Diploma in Insurance (AIIK) or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years’ experience in claims investigations, insurance claims, fraud investigation, or a related field.
• Practical experience in conducting claims investigations, interviews, fact-finding, and evidence gathering.
• Good understanding of insurance products, claims processes, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong interviewing, negotiation, analytical, and report writing skills.
• Ability to assess information, identify inconsistencies, and make sound recommendations based on investigation findings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in motor and non-motor claims investigations will be an added advantage.
