United Selections Kenya Limited is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Inventory and Trial Management Specialist.
Role Overview
This field-based role involves plant inventory control, trial follow-up, and ensuring data reliability. The successful candidate will report to the Sales Manager and work closely with the CFO to align plant inventory, commercial agreements, trial data, and financial records. Regular travel to farms and trial sites is required.

Responsibilities
Inventory & Plant Counting
- Conduct annual and periodic physical plant inventories
- Verify plant numbers, planted areas, and variety identity on-site
- Compare findings with agreements, trial records, and internal data
- Identify and report discrepancies
Trial Follow-up & Management
- Support and manage variety trials throughout the season
- Monitor plant performance, health, productivity, and uniformity
- Ensure proper trial layout, labeling, traceability, and maintenance
- Coordinate planting schedules, evaluations, and inspections
Reporting
- Maintain accurate digital records (inventory and trial data)
- Prepare clear reports for breeders and management
- Support audits and compliance activities related to PBR
- Improve inventory and trial management procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in inventory or trial management (horticulture/floriculture preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
- Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and high integrity
