Centre for Women Empowerment in Technology (CWE-TECH) is a Kenyan NGO founded in 2017 with a mission to empower women, girls, and youth through access to technology, education, and socio-economic opportunities.

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Intern – Programmes Officer to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of our programmes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in programme management while contributing to the empowerment of women and girls.

  • Programmes Support: Assist in the coordination and implementation of various programmes, ensuring activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Help in tracking programme progress, collecting data, and preparing reports to assess impact and inform future planning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support in maintaining relationships with partners, donors, community leaders, and beneficiaries to ensure effective programme delivery.
  • Resource Management: Assist in overseeing the distribution of resources, including training materials and equipment, to ensure programmes run smoothly.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular updates and reports for internal teams and external stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Capacity Building: Support the training and mentorship of staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries to enhance programme effectiveness.
  • Conduct outreach programmes in the local communities
  • Visibility Enhancement: Manage and create content for social media platforms and mainstream media outlets, promoting programme activities and successes to a wider audience.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Social Sciences, Project Management, Development Studies, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data management tools.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
