About the job
- Assist in developing and formulating new powder coating products to meet customer requirements (mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, appearance, cure profiles).
- Assist in the modification and improvement of existing formulations to enhance performance, reduce cost, or address raw material changes.
- Conduct laboratory testing on powder coatings, including application, cure, and performance testing (adhesion, gloss, impact, hardness, chemical resistance, etc.).
- Maintain accurate documentation of formulations, procedures, test data, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with production teams to scale up laboratory formulations to production batches, addressing process adjustments and troubleshooting as needed.
- Support technical service teams in resolving customer complaints related to formulation issues.
- Evaluate new raw materials and technologies, providing recommendations based on performance, sustainability, and cost.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations during development and testing.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Recently graduated(2024/2025) and actively looking for internship placement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced R&D environment.
