The Graphics Designer will:

  • Timely development of concepts, graphics, and layouts by defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos.
  • Conceptualize visuals based on programmatic and partner requirements.
  • Use appropriate colors, fonts, and layouts for each graphic.
  • Determine size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size.
  • Review final layouts and suggest improvements when required.
  • Amend designs following feedback from program teams and partners.
  • Ensure all graphics and layouts are visually appealing, accessible, and on-brand.
  • Liaise with external printers or production teams to ensure deadlines are met and outputs are delivered to the highest quality.
  • Keep up to date with emerging design and software trends to enhance FilmAid Kenya’s creative outputs.

Deliverables

  • Branded visual assets including posters, banners, flyers, brochures, infographics, and social media graphics.
  • Event branding and promotional materials for campaigns such as the FilmAid Film Festival (FAFF).
  • Print-ready and digital versions of reports, publications, and awareness materials.
  • Archived design files uploaded to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system with proper metadata.

Duration & Location

  • Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension based on performance and project needs).
  • Location: Nairobi with possible field travel to Dadaab and Kakuma. 6R

Reporting

The Graphics Designer will report to the Creative Manager and collaborate closely with program leads and field teams.

  • Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) or other professional design tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing across both digital and print platforms.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, branding, and visual storytelling.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing is an added advantage.’
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt designs based on feedback.
