Responsible for collecting and managing information, preparing reports, supporting communication activities, maintaining records, assisting with public information, and coordinating information requests. Requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Information Science, Public Relations, or a related field. The position is based in Iten and requires on-site work.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST have: –
- Diploma in any of the following; Mass media, Journalism, Mass Communication, media techniques, media studies, internal Relations, Communication or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C with a minimum of C+ in English or Kiswahili and C in any other relevant subject or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated professional competence
- Good oral and written communication skills
- A member of an industry related professional body
- Proficiency in operating video and audio recording equipment (DSLRs, Camcorders, drones, audio mixers etc)
- Skilled in video editing software e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Familiarity with live streaming setups and tools is and added advantage
