Key Responsibilities
- Custodian of protocols concerning Cleaning, Disinfection, waste segregation and sterilization procedures with periodic supervision of quality of the processes
- Active member and secretary of the IPC and AMR Committee
- Encourage and provide support for research projects related to IPC and antimicrobial stewardship
- Review sterilization and disinfection techniques and recommend changes as needed
- Provide specialist advice to all hospital staff in respect to the reduction of healthcare-associated Infections and ensure all staff attend IPC trainings
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN)
- Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
- Valid practicing license
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in nursing/clinical work
