Individual Consulting Services NGO Job World Vision

NGO Jobs. World Vision Kenya Jobs

Background and Project Overview

  • World Vision Kenya is currently supporting a cluster randomized control trial (RCT) of Celebrating Families, a Christian parenting program designed to promote positive parenting practices and spiritual nurture within households. This multi-country study aims to assess the program’s impact on:
  • Parental beliefs regarding positive and harsh parenting
  • Parent and child reports of disciplinary practices, including physical force
  • Human flourishing outcomes for both parents and children, with emphasis on spiritual engagement in the home
  • This initiative represents Phase Two of an ongoing research effort. Phase One involved cross-sectional surveys administered to two cohorts across Central America, Africa, and Asia, with data collected at baseline, post-intervention, and six-month follow-up. While initial findings were promising, Phase Two adopts a more rigorous RCT design to validate effectiveness and enhance localization and community relevance.
  • To support this effort, World Vision is convening a Regional Advisory Board composed of academic experts from Africa with backgrounds in parenting, theology, discipleship, mental health, psychosocial support, and related disciplines. The Board will provide strategic input on data analysis, dissemination, and contextual adaptation.
