Candidate Requirements
Education
- Degree in Procurement, Purchasing, Supplies, or any other related field.
Added Advantage
- Diploma in Clearing & Forwarding.
- Certification (MUST) Certificate from KRA on the use of ICMS (Integrated Customs Management System), KENTRADE, etc.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience working in an Import/Export busy manufacturing environment.
Main Objective and Responsibilities
The primary role of the Imports & Exports Officer is to execute and manage the international trade operations of the company. This involves handling the logistics of importing and exporting goods, preparing customs documentation, and streamlining supply chain processes.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customs Documentation:
- Preparing IDF (Import Declaration Form) applications.
- Preparing Bond Application and Reconciliation.
- Doing Proforma Invoice Booking.
- Logistics & Tracking:
- Doing Marine Applications (likely referring to marine insurance/logistics).
- Following up on shipments and maintaining a detailed tracker.
- Tax/Trade Facilitation (TREO):
- Doing TREO (Tax Remission Export Officer) Applications and Reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of TREO records.
- Procurement & Files:
- Doing Material Sourcing and Negotiations.
- Updating all Imports and Exports files.
