ICT Intern Job

The ICT Intern will provide comprehensive support across IT systems, cloud services, website management, document design, and technical infrastructure, working closely with the Communications and Fundraising Team, IT personnel, and cross-departmental teams. The role is embedded within the Agroecology Promotion Programme (APP) and Porticus Project, focusing on enhancing digital effectiveness to support BvAT’s programs. Below is a detailed breakdown of the key responsibilities, designed to maximize the intern’s contribution to ICT operations:

Software and IT Support

  • Install and Configure Software: Support the installation, configuration, updating, and maintenance of software applications used by BvAT staff, ensuring compatibility with organizational needs and minimal downtime for users.
  • Troubleshoot IT Issues: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly, providing timely support to staff to maintain operational efficiency and ensure seamless ICT operations.
  • Manage Software Assets: Maintain an updated inventory of software licenses, user access rights, and assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and organizational policies.
  • Develop User Guides: Create clear, user-friendly manuals and guides to assist staff in navigating internal software tools, enhancing digital literacy and effective use of ICT resources.
  • Monitor System Performance: Regularly assess the performance of IT systems to identify potential issues, ensuring robust and reliable ICT infrastructure for all programs.

Cloud-Based Services Management

  • Create Digital Content: Design social media graphics, posters, flyers, and event materials using tools like Canva or Adobe Illustrator, enhancing BvAT’s ICT-driven communication efforts.
  • Ensure Visual Consistency: Adhere to BvAT’s branding guidelines and project-specific identity manuals to maintain a cohesive visual identity across all ICT outputs.
