We are hiring a HSE officer for one of clients in Packaging industry. As an HSE Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the packaging plant. The role involves promoting a safe workplace culture, conducting inspections, training employees, and supporting management in implementing HSE policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees.
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan HSE laws and company standards.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on HSE performance.
- Support emergency response planning and drills.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE, preferably in a manufacturing/packaging environment.
- Knowledge of Kenyan OSHA regulations and standards.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and promote a safety-first culture.
