Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Officer located in Mwatate. The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for managing HR functions, developing HR policies, and maintaining employee relations. Daily tasks include job description development, handling HR-related queries, conducting interviews, and overseeing the recruitment process. The officer will also manage employee benefits and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. The incumbent will be reporting to the Human Resource Manager and will be entrusted with the role of advising Management on Human Resource matters.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) management and Employee Relations
  • Experience in developing HR Policies and Job Descriptions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Mwatate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience in the microfinance or financial services sector is a plus
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations

Technical and Professional Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR management practices, policies and Labour Laws.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in Human Resource.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and strong organizational skills.
  • Attentive to detail, innovative, tech- savvy, able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience in the microfinance and banking industry is an added advantage.
  • Membership in the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is also an advantage.
