HR Officer Job Severin Sea Lodge
HR Jobs Severin Sea Lodge Jobs. Responsible for managing recruitment, onboarding, employee records, staff welfare and HR policies while ensuring compliance with labour laws. Requires a degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field, with experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mombasa.
Key Responsibilities:
- As HR Officer you run people administration for Severin Sea Lodge and Severin Safari Camp as one HR function. You are based at Sea Lodge in Mombasa. You keep contracts, files, and labour process accurate at both properties, and you give Safari Camp the same HR standard from Mombasa, with travel to the camp when the work requires it.
- Issue contracts, offer letters, and personnel files for both properties to one standard.
- Induct new joiners and follow probation through to confirmation or exit.
- Keep employee records current in Odoo and in the personnel file, including identity documents, statutory numbers, and next of kin.
- Control leave plans and attendance inputs so payroll receives a clean file on time.
- Open, document, and close grievance and disciplinary files with the head of department. You do not take over the head of department’s performance management.
- Complete exits with the file, asset return, and a recorded reason.
- Fill vacancies with the hiring manager, including camp roles, and keep selection fair and documented.
- Answer staff and managers on leave, contracts, and basic Kenyan labour practice, and escalate cases that need the HR & Administration Manager or the General Manager
Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- At least 3 years in Kenyan HR administration: contracts, personnel files, leave, and discipline.
- Able to be based at Severin Sea Lodge in Mombasa and cover Safari Camp within the same HR function, including travel to Tsavo West.
- Clear English for files, managers, and Head Office.
- Legally authorized to work in Kenya.

- CHRP (Kenya), or exposure to a collective bargaining agreement.
