This is a full-time, on-site role for a Host / Hostess at Peponi’s located in Nairobi. As the face of the restaurant, you’ll set the tone for our guests’ experience from the moment they arrive. You’ll be responsible for creating a warm and casual welcome, managing reservations and guest flow, and supporting smooth communication between the floor and the bar/kitchen.

Your role isn’t just about seating guests – it’s about bringing energy, personality, and hospitality to every interaction, making sure everyone feels part of the Peponi’s vibe.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth, confidence, and enthusiasm, setting the tone for their visit
• Manage reservations, waiting lists, and guest flow to keep service smooth and efficient
• Escort guests to tables and ensure they are comfortable and informed about specials or promotions
• Collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and chefs to deliver seamless service
• Handle guest inquiries and feedback with professionalism and positivity
• Maintain a polished and approachable appearance that reflects Peponi’s brand
• Keep the host stand and entrance area organized, clean, and welcoming

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – you’re naturally friendly and approachable
• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a front-of-house role is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Confidence in handling reservations and guest interactions, even during busy service
• A positive, energetic, and casual personality that resonates with the Peponi’s atmosphere
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
