Head of Finance Job

Our client is a fast-growing supply chain business transforming the distribution of fresh produce and essential goods across Kenya. We are seeking a highly competent and commercially astute finance professional to lead our financial function and support the company’s next phase of growth.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution, ensuring financial discipline, efficiency, and scalability across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business growth objectives
- Provide commercial insights to support pricing, sourcing, and distribution decisions
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost optimization across the supply chain
- Establish and strengthen internal controls, financial systems, and reporting structures
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for management and stakeholders
- Oversee audits, tax compliance, and statutory requirements
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve efficiency and margins
- Build and manage a high-performing finance team
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA (K) / ACCA qualification is mandatory
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a finance role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position
- Proven experience in supply chain, FMCG, distribution, or agri-business is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, and cost control
- Experience setting up or improving financial systems and processes
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability
