Role Overview
Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, the Senior Network Implementation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure solutions (Network, Wireless, Data Centre ). This role involves working closely with project teams, providing high-level technical guidance, and serving as an escalation point for complex incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Implementation
- Design, build, deliver, and operate Network and Data Centre solutions to meet client needs.
- Implement enterprise solutions across LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless, Data Centre, and Cloud.
- Deploy SD-WAN, SD-DC, and SD-Access solutions.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with Project Managers and technical architects to scope and deliver solutions within timelines.
- Provide clear documentation for all delivered solutions.
- Highlight risks, propose alternatives, and recommend quality solutions.
Operational Excellence
- Use automation and scripting to reduce delivery time and manual work.
- Support change management processes during solution integration.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on enterprise networking technologies.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Guide and mentor junior engineers.
- Provide escalation support for complex technical issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in enterprise networking.
- Industry Certifications:
- Cisco Professional-level certification (CCNP, CCIE).
- ITIL Certification.
- DevOps certification and experience with network automation (added advantage).
Technical Skills
- Enterprise Networking & Data Centre:
- SD-WAN: Cisco Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet.
- SD-DC: Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T.
- SD-Access Solutions.
- Data Centre Interconnect: Cisco OTV, VXLAN.
- IP Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP.
- Enterprise Wireless Solutions
- Application Delivery Controllers: F5 Load Balancers, Global Traffic Managers, DNS.
- Enterprise Security Solutions: Firewalls, NAC, MDM.
- Strong troubleshooting, reporting, and presentation skills.
