Head of Accounts & Finance Job

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall financial management of the institution across all branches.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and financial reports.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and financial policies.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial systems.
- Supervise and mentor the accounts team across the different branches.
- Monitor school fee collections, revenue streams, and expenditure management.
- Support management with financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
- Travel between branches to ensure consistent financial oversight and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field.
- CPA(K) – Finalist or Fully Qualified (ACCA is an added advantage).
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience working in a school or multi-branch organization is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
