Hospitality Jobs, Ujima Foundation Jobs. Head Chef manages kitchen operations and culinary training programs, requires a Culinary Arts Diploma/Degree and 3+ years kitchen management experience. Full-time role in Nairobi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver practical culinary arts curricula (food production, baking, nutrition, and food presentation) tailored for hospitality trainees.
  • Oversee daily meal preparation, kitchen safety, hygiene standards, and food sanitation protocols.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, food costing, meal planning, and procurement of kitchen ingredients.
  • Mentor, evaluate, and assess trainees to prepare them for internships and entry-level jobs in the hospitality industry.
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment and ensure compliance with public health regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Higher Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or Hospitality Management from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience as a Chef in a reputable hotel, restaurant, or vocational training institute.
  • Demonstrated passion for mentoring youth and strong leadership, communication, and kitchen management skills.
