We are seeking a Head Chef for Hemingways Eden Residence in Nairobi whose passion, imagination, discipline, and empathy come together to shape a kitchen that reflects our rare, intimate style of luxury.

A Relentless Steward of Detail You believe that refinement lives in the details — the way a sauce finishes, the precision of mise en place, the rhythm of a kitchen, the warmth in service. You Sweat the Details instinctively, ensuring that excellence is not an act but a standard.

The Role You Will Shape You will define and lead our culinary direction, mentor and grow a high-performing brigade, and collaborate across the property to ensure every dining moment — from breakfast to tasting journeys — enriches the guest’s story with us. Your stewardship will ensure our culinary identity remains original, personal, and deeply meaningful.

  • 4-5+ years’ experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in premium, luxury kitchens
  • Strength in menu engineering, cost control and supplier stewardship, matched with uncompromising food safety.
  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or Hotel & Restaurant Management
