Graphic Designer – Events (Nairobi) Job

About the Client:

A leading and busy events planning and management company in Nairobi that has resources and equipment to bring events from mere ideas to reality seeks to hire a competent and aggressive individual. The firm is involved in every aspect of planning and execution letting their clients focus on their core business.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Degree/Diploma in Design, Fine Arts or related field, or minimum 3years experience as a Graphic Designer
• At least 2 years of Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both 2D and 3D design.
• Have a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
• A must experience in creating impressive floor plans and renders.
• Knowledge of event industry trends and technologies is a plus.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity for events, including logos, color schemes, and typography, to ensure a cohesive and recognizable brand.
• Design various print materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, banners, and invitations that effectively promote the event and convey important information.
• Create engaging digital assets, including social media graphics, email campaigns, and web banners, to promote events across online platforms.
• Design event signage and wayfinding materials to guide attendees and enhance their overall event experience.
• Develop visually appealing presentations, slides, and multimedia content for speakers, sponsors, and other stakeholders involved in the event.
• Design event programs and schedules that are easy to read and visually pleasing, providing attendees with a clear guide to the event\’s activities.
• Create designs for event merchandise such as T-shirts, badges, and promotional items that align with the event\’s branding.
• Work closely with marketing, content, and event planning teams to understand their needs and incorporate design elements into various aspects of the event.
• Assist in the creation of visual content by providing graphic design support for event photography and videography, including editing and enhancing images and creating visual assets for videos.
• Demonstrate the ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing requirements, ensuring that all design materials are delivered on time and meet the event\’s objectives.
• Prepare and design concepts and ideas graphically that are actionable.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
