Fleet Operations Assistant Job

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain strict control and accountability of vehicle keys.
- Track and manage driver reporting times, escalating late arrivals or no-shows, and adjusting driver schedules when required.
- Conduct staff briefings by issuing keys, paperwork, inspection forms, and gate passes to ensure on-time departures.
- Respond to driver and store support line inquiries and take appropriate action.
- Coordinate with the surveillance team to communicate and action any delays or operational changes.
- Conduct staff debriefs, verify compliance with schedules and SOPs, report any non-compliance to the Fleet Compliance Manager, and release staff at shift completion.
- Monitor, record, and report all departure, arrival, and return trips to the Distribution Centre.
- Allocate vehicles to delivery tickets and coordinate with drivers for execution.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all ticket documentation (TOS) to meet departure deadlines.
- Achieve departmental KPIs, particularly on-time delivery targets.

Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business administration or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in fleet planning and cordination and supply chain tracking.
- Familiarity with fleet management systems and logistics software is desirable.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.
