Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst Job. Finance Jobs in Kenya

As the Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data within our ERP system. You will drive data-driven decision-making by preparing insightful performance reports, maintaining key analytics templates, and supporting month-end close processes. As the analyst you will also play a key role in improving data reliability and scalability by identifying and addressing inconsistencies, standardizing reporting practices, and contributing to the migration of reporting tools to Power BI.

Own Data Accuracy & Integrity

  • Validate ERP Next entries to ensure weekly accuracy of P&L and balance sheet data
  • Run regular ERP “health checks” to catch gaps, inconsistencies, and missing entries
  • Work closely with finance, sales, and operations teams to correct data at the source

Support Reporting & Performance Analytics

  • Prepare weekly performance reports that guide business decisions
  • Maintain and enhance Excel-based KPI tracking and reporting templates
  • Support month-end close processes through variance analysis and report preparation
  • Contribute to the migration of reports from Excel to Power BI for stronger insights

Improve Processes & Build for Scale

Document recurring data or reporting issues and recommend fixes
Help standardize reporting practices that make our data more reliable and scalable

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related quantitative discipline.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, finance, or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and cost/revenue drivers
  • Excellent Excel skills; pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and charting
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; ERP Next experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools for report migration and enhanced insights. Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized
  • Strong communicator and team player who’s proactive about solving issues
