Financial Accountant Job CHEWASCO

Finance Jobs, CHEWASCO Jobs. The Financial Accountant manages accounting operations and financial reporting, requiring a Finance/Accounting Bachelor’s, CPA(K) qualification, active ICPAK membership, and 3+ years relevant experience in public or private sector. Full-time role in Eldama Ravine.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic financial statements, management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate budget preparation, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
• Review general ledger accounts, reconciliations and accounting schedules.
• Monitor cash flows, expenditure and budget performance and report significant variances.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory obligations.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities and respond to audit queries.
• Advise Management on financial performance, internal controls and financial risks.
• Support the effective operation and continuous improvement of the Company’s financial management systems.

Qualifications

• Be a Kenyan Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Must possess relevant professional qualification: CPA (K)
• Active member in good standing of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or relevant recognized professional body
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience at Officer II grade or in a comparable position in the public or private sector.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, accounting systems, audit coordination and public-sector financial management requirements.
• Meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
