Role Overview

We are seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Finance Controller to oversee financial management, compliance, and inventory control within a fast-growing hospitality establishment. This role requires strong operational finance capability with particular emphasis on stock control, taxation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee daily financial operations including reconciliations, reporting, and cash controls.
  • Manage inventory accounting, stock audits, variance analysis, and cost control systems.
  • Ensure proper recording and monitoring of food, beverage, and operational inventory.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L statements, and financial performance reports.
  • Oversee tax compliance including VAT, PAYE, withholding tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Implement and enforce internal financial controls and approval processes.
  • Monitor supplier payments, contracts, and credit terms.
  • Provide financial insights to support business growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • CPA (K) or equivalent professional qualification required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management.
  • Strong experience in inventory control and cost accounting.
  • Solid understanding of Kenyan tax regulations and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in hospitality finance is an added advantage but not mandatory.
  • High integrity and strong analytical skills.
