We are seeking a strategic and values-driven Finance & Administration Manager with proven nonprofit experience to lead our financial operations and steward resources for high-impact delivery. Role Overview

The Finance & Administration Manager will play a critical leadership role in financial strategy, compliance, and organizational governance. You will ensure that KBTA’s financial systems support its strategic goals, uphold accountability to donors and stakeholders, and foster sustainable growth. The role also oversees administration, HR, and organizational risk management.

Responsibilities

Financial Strategy, Planning & Oversight

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring aligned with KBTA’s strategic priorities.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Board and donors.
  • Ensure sound financial governance, transparency, and accountability.

Financial Management & Compliance

  • Oversee budgeting, donor reporting, statutory compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and donor regulations.
  • Lead internal control frameworks and risk mitigation practices.

Administration & Human Resources

  • Supervise administrative operations and ensure effective vendor, asset, and facilities management.
  • Oversee payroll, performance management, and HR compliance including onboarding and employee records.
  • Manage and lead a small finance and admin team with a focus on mentorship, performance, and team development.

Fundraising Support

  • Support the preparation of donor budgets and ensure compliance in fund utilization.
  • Contribute to proposals by articulating financial needs and aligning them with program strategies.
  • Ensure partners’ financial accountability and advocate for government investment in inclusive education.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CA) is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position, preferably in the nonprofit or NGO sector.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel; knowledge of Wingubox is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-donor budgets and donor compliance (e.g., UN
  • agencies, foundations, EU, Bilateral agencies).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Experience in team management, audit processes, and risk oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High integrity, transparency, and commitment to inclusive development.
